Liu Jigang was born in Liaoning province in 1958. He graduated from the department of Liaoning Province Education College in 1990. Currently he is the member of Liaoning Province Artists Association, vice-president of Benxi municipal oil painting institute. Main exhibitions: ‘The 1st Still Life Oil Painting Exhibition’, 1995; ‘The 3rd Liaoning Province Oil Paining Exhibtion’, won the excellent prize, 2003; ‘Liaoning Province Artworks Exhibition for the10th National Fine Arts Exhibition ’, won the Gold Medal, 2004, etc.
